Coming from a family of musicians, Matt Dubrow proudly built the Firehouse Studio in Oceanport, New Jersey, back in 2014. When Firehouse Studio was first completed, Matt taught himself how to independently produce music for a wide variety of artists, such as Cranston Dean, Slick Aguilar, Brian Erickson, Dave Mooney, Joseph Alton Miller and many more. With the help of his talented friends, Matt officially formed his 5-piece band, Matt Dubrow & the Captives, in early 2018. Their unique sound has been described as “rowdy, bluesy, energetic” outlaw country music.
Matt Dubrow & the Captives have been performing their off-brand, original country music all over New Jersey. The band enjoys playing around the Asbury Park circuit, but has also ventured out to Rockwood Music Hall in NYC, Pour Judgement in New Port, Rhode Island, The O’s Bar in Sunderland, Massachusetts and John & Peter’s in New Hope, Pennsylvania.
